How to Organize Notes with AI
Optional BYOK AI suggestions for titles, summaries, and tags.
Introduction
AI organization should reduce mess, not silently rewrite your thinking. MemoBraid’s # Organize flow is suggestion-based: you stay in control of what gets saved.
What you'll learn
- Where Organize lives in the note editor
- Local suggestions vs BYOK AI suggestions
- How to review before applying
Two modes of Organize
Without an API key, Organize can still propose lightweight structure from local keywords in the note.
With a key configured in Settings → AI (OpenAI or compatible base URL), Organize can request richer title, summary, topics, and tag suggestions from that provider — the note content you choose to send goes to that provider, not to a MemoBraid cloud library.
Keep humans in the loop
Read suggestions before applying. AI is useful for first drafts of structure; it can miss nuance or over-tag. Your approval step is the product feature, not a missing checkbox.
When not to use AI
Tiny notes, sensitive verbatim quotes you do not want leaving the device, or notes that are already clean may not need cloud organization. Local search and collections may be enough.
Organize a note with suggestions
- Open a note from Home or Notes.
- Click # Organize.
- If you want cloud AI, ensure Settings → AI has your key; otherwise use local suggestions.
- Review title, summary, and tags.
- Apply only the parts you want saved into the note.
From dump to structured note
Untitled note with pasted meeting fragments and no tags.
Clear title, short summary, tags like “roadmap” and “q3,” still editable locally after you apply.

FAQ
Does Organize run automatically on every note?
No. You open Organize on a note and choose what to apply.
Which model is used?
Whatever you configure in AI settings with your own key and endpoint. MemoBraid does not sell a bundled hosted model in this MVP.
Will AI change my note without asking?
Suggestions appear for review. Saving structured fields happens when you apply them.
